Celaverse
Web-Based Mobile App and Branding for a Startup Company
The Dream
Celaverse™ is a social platform with the capability to connect users around the globe who share the same birthday. The company's aim is to spread love, peace, joy and happiness through the act of celebration. My task was to design a web-based mobile app and branding assets for the platform. I will also assist in integrating automation workflows for user interaction.
FINDING DIRECTION
Celaverse is a relatively unique idea, so beginning the design process required a detailed understanding of the platforms needs and objectives.
· The company required a social media style layout with an event manager
· Ability to crawl custom user groups and communicate via SMS & E-mail
· Create marketplace for e-commerce and affiliates
· Design celebratory themed logo and branding assets
SOLUTION ORIENTED
The company opted for a web-based mobile application to host their platform. This required us to utilize a PHP script suitable for hosting the many features of the app. In addition to adjusting a web-based template, we created several pages to include all of the requirements. These changes helped to make the platform look and feel more like a native app. Step one was to create branding assets and to design cool logo, this was the easy part. 😆
Once the app was laid out, we had to create an API to pull user information and communicate with our CMS platform. This would help to manage and deploy push notifications & E-mails to users on the platform.
Design & Branding
The ideas for the creative direction of Celaverse was inspired by celebration, live events, and a feeling of good energy. The colors schemes used reflected a soft and inviting mood while contrasting the vivid colors of confetti falling from the sky. We required something fun and bold that would capture the attention of all audiences and demographics around the world!
WIREFRAME
The wireframe was made to deliver a clean and simple UI for user to navigate and utilize all of Celaverse's features seamlessly. I created unique visual elements to complement the themes of the company and directed workflows that would keep the user engaged. The original wireframe was made with 8 main pages, including a guided user walkthrough. These ideas later expanded overtime and helped to build our final application.
Integrations
The many features of the applications required a bit of backend integration to make things work. With the help of support and use of API we were able to successfully integrate popular web services that would aid in the day-to-day operations of Celaverse.
THIRD PARTY APPLICATIONS
We utilized third party applications to carry out several tasks in the platform. These features included SMS/E-mail, eCommerce, live functionality, & social media.

WORKFLOW
To communicate with users, we connected app data to schedule push notifications and SMS/E-mail. A simple workflow was created to illustrate this process.
A Cause for Celebration
After a good deal of effort, patience, & determination the Celaverse app was published and scheduled to launch. This project would aim to connect users around the world who share the same birthday and emphasize the importance of celebration. Celaverse plans to partner with leading industry companies to deliver a fun and rewarding experience.
